About Le Salette In 1860 the local farmers decided to build the sanctuary of Le Salette as a votive offering to the Madonna when she freed their vineyards from the scourge of phylloxera. The sanctuary is a church which overlooks the village that it protects. It is surrounded by hills and vineyards. Indeed, for generations the Scamperle family has dedicated itself to growing grapes, and, over the years, to increasing the number of vineyards.

First there are the typical notes of plum, cherry and morello cherry on the nose, followed by a great variety of tones: nuts, tea leaves, licorice and spices. On the palate there are hints of red berry fruits, softened by plush vanilla notes, in perfect harmony with the acidity and tannins. It pairs well with red meat, game, mature cheeses, but it is also perfect as a meditation wine at the end of a meal.

Layers of dark chocolate, black olive and espresso add dimension, while a note of peppery spice lingers on the finish. A creamy and harmonious red, medium- to full-bodied, featuring light, dusty tannins that frame the flavors of baked black cherry, date, grilled thyme and loamy earth. Allegrini Valpolicella Classico is ruby red in color with purplish-blue highlights.
