The Mockingbird is one of BC Rich's flagship electric guitars, designed all the way back in 1976! Made famous by the likes of Slash (Guns N' Roses) and a multitude of metal artists, the gothic-inspired Mockingbird still looks modern and cutting-edge almost 50 years later. The ST model, from BC Rich's Legacy Series, is the most popular instrument in the Mockingbird family — distinctive for its gorgeous Quilted Maple top, Wenge body stringers, open diamond fingerboard inlays, and Grover Imperial tuners. Sizzling-hot DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers give the Mockingbird ST a huge voice, with the various switches and controls providing a wide tonal palette. This particular model also comes equipped with a recessed Floyd Rose tremolo system. Key Features Neck-Through-Body Construction — Yields piano-like sustain, with heel-less design and "Shredzilla" deep cut enabling effortless access to the highest frets. Mahogany Body/Wings — A rich-sounding tonewood that adds deep lows and warm mid-range into the sonic mix. The Mockingbird ST is the most popular model in the Mockingbird family. The heart of the ST is its Quad Bridge and a pair of Dimarzio Pickups. These high output pickups are controlled with a selection of knobs and switches that include a 5 position varitone filter knob, two coil tap switches and a reverse phase switch. The STs neck-through construction also assures great tone and full fretboard access. Other key features include an ebony fingerboard, diamond inlays and Grover tuners.
