Donkey Kong III is the main protagonist of the Donkey Kong series and a protagonist from the Super Mario series. He appeared in the 51st episode of Death Battle, Donkey Kong VS Knuckles, where he fought against Knuckles the Echidna from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Donkey Kong is the grandson of a gorilla who, long ago, ran rampant in a city and did battle with the now-famous Mario atop a construction site, which culminated in the gorilla's capture and then led to his son rescuing him.
