Smudge Kit : White Sage & Palo Santo – Tribe Castlemaine
Cleanse and clear your spaces with this smudging kit of ancient medicinal plants, White Sage and Palo Santo, with a natural abalone shell.
WHITE SAGE - Considered sacred medicine by many Native American/Indigenous Nations, White Sage, Salvia Apiana, has been used for centuries as a cleansing, purifying and protective plant.
Burned in a ritual known as smudging, used to rid a person, space or object of negative energy, negative thoughts or even bad spirits. Sage emits negative ions and our aura holds positive ions, through smudging we can neutralise energetic fields to cleanse and renew.
To use, ignite the tip of the bundle and let it burn for a few seconds, then blow out the flame and allow it to smoulder and smoke. Undertake your smoking, then leave the stick to smoulder in the abalone shell or extinguish in a fire-proof vessel of sand or soil.
Smudge sticks measure approx 11cm long x 3cm wide. Organically grown and sustainably harvested in California.
PALO SANTO Bursera Graveolens is a sacred tree native to South America, traditionally used by Indigenous Latin American shamans for its energetic cleansing and healing properties. A cousin of both frankincense and myrrh, palo santo literally means holy wood and when burned releases aromatic lemon, mint, and pine notes. Calming, relaxing and uplifting, smoke from the smouldering wood has cleansing and healing properties, much like white sage, releasing negative energies, thoughts and feelings.
Sourced from the Palo Santo tree of South America, organically grown and harvested from sustainable farms, sticks measure approx 10cm x 2cm.
Abalone Shell - Representing the water element of a 4-element ritual, the abalone shell can be used to catch the ash and embers from your smudge stick. Rest your smudge stick on the shell before, during and after your cleansing ritual. Natural abalone shells measures approx 12cm x 9cm, ethically harvested and safely cleaned.
